Deputy editor, MacFormat magazine
ABOUT MACFORMAT
Not that long ago, MacFormat was the number three Mac magazine in the UK. In a market of three. Following a shake-up three or so years ago in which the magazine firmly refocussed itself on the burgeoning Apple consumer market, MacFormat began to buck the downwards trend being experienced by most print magazines. In 2007, it declared a 14% year-on-year circulation increase, and it became the UK’s best-selling Mac magazine; in February of 2008, we posted another 20% YoY increase – still #1 – and the graph keeps on going up.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
After graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone with a degree in graphic design, I joined MacUser magazine as its labs manager. Since starting in journalism, I’ve contributed to PC Pro, Computer Shopper, PC Plus and Computer Buyer, as well as the two Mac titles. I often appear on MacFormat This Week – the magazine’s podcast – and I sporadically pop up on television and radio commenting on technology stories.
